Service Details

Our experienced team prepares DNA on scales between Mini and Giga preps daily. Clients may submit cultures, colonies, cell pellets, plasmid DNA, or glycerol stocks. We can also prep DNA from plasmids recently submitted for Sanger Sequencing, provided enough sample remains. If transformation is required, we use chemically competent or electrocompetent E. coli cells.

DNA Preps are tailored to each customer's needs. Choose between prep kits from Qiagen or Machery-Nagel, endotoxin free if desired. We make preps with a variety of different antibiotic resistances, grown in LB or 2xYT, and cultured at a range of temperatures.

Clients may specify if they would like their preps confirmed, either via sequencing (with Sanger, Nanopore, Miseq, or G99) or restriction enzyme digest. Turnaround time varies and depends on order size.

We offer both local pickup and delivery for prep orders.

Difficult Preps:

Our team works closely with clients on challenging preps. Particular areas of expertise include samples with low copy numbers, ITRs, and long repeats.
